Reiki is pronounced ray-key which means universal life energy.
Usui Reiki is broken into three parts. Each Reiki Master teaches slightly differently. There is no right or wrong way. I teach how I was taught and that is in three parts. Reiki First Degree, Reiki Second Degree, finally Reiki Master/Teacher.
Reiki is secular enlightenment system as well as a re-balancing system developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1900’s. It is not attached to any religion and no belief system is needed. Reiki is a non-invasive healing system to bring about well being and balance to all things.
As a Reiki Practitioner you are simply a channel for our universal energy, which acts as a healing energy. You are not giving any of your own energy resources when giving a treatment, so you should never feel drained or tired.
The energy is exchanged from practitioner to recipient via a series of hand positions.
A Reiki treatment can be carried out with the client lying down on a couch/bed, or sat upright in a supportive chair.
Reiki is not a massage the recipient remains fully clothed at all times.

Professional Usui Reiki Second Degree
Usui Reiki Second Degree is the second step on your Reiki journey!
Usui Reiki First Degree must be completed before moving onto this level.
Second Degree Reiki looks at the ability to send Reiki distantly, you are also introduced to and shown how to use the Reiki symbols.

Professional Usui Reiki Master/Teacher Degree
Usui Reiki Master/Teacher Degree traditionally was taken only by those with a true desire to teach this wonderful energy system. However as Reiki has become more westernised many like to take this level to complete their studies.
Usui Reiki First and Second Degree must be completed before taking your Reiki Master/Teacher Degree.
When deciding to take the Master/ Teacher Degree ask yourself can you make the commitment to practise, teach and live Usui Reiki? Do you feel you have experienced Reiki practically both on yourself and others? Is it the right time for you to develop and discover yourself further? Even after you have completed this level you may have learnt all the theory, but I believe you never stop learning!

This certificate enables you to gain insurance to teach and practise Usui Reiki Degrees.
What are distant attunements?
Distant attunements can be sent in two ways by using the Chi Ball “call-in method” where there are no barriers with time and your attunement will reach you when you call it in. Or attunements can be sent at an arranged date and time whereby we both meditate at the same time whilst I send your attunement to enhance your connection to the energy system.
Preparation for a distance attunement
Just before the arranged time, settle yourself down in a comfortable position and a place where you will not be disturbed for 30 – 45 minutes. Switch off the phone, ask people not to disturb you. You may also like to play relaxing music and light candles.
Close your eyes once you are ready and say out loud or silently: “I am now ready to receive the “name of attunement you are receiving" attunement being sent to me by Amanda Davies.”
Then simply relax and let the attunement take place.
You may feel warmth or a light breeze, tingling or numbness. You may see colors or sense a presence around you, or you may feel nothing at all. Whatever you feel or don’t feel, the attunement will work.
Most attunements run for about 20 – 30 minutes, but some are longer and some shorter, so take your time. When you sense the attunement has finished, slowly open your eyes and take your time getting up.
Drink plenty of water!

As your Reiki Master/Teacher any help and guidance that you may need does not stop after your attunement has been sent and your certificate issued. My support and advice is available to you for as long as you need it.
